What We Can Work on Together

People seek psychiatric care for many different reasons. Whether you're navigating persistent stress and worry, changes in mood, difficulty focusing, burnout, a major life transition, or something that is harder to put into words, we can start by understanding what's going on and what you want to change.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Do I have to take medication to work with Dr. Norseth? No. Medication is one tool among several. An evaluation may help determine whether medication makes sense for you, or whether another approach—or a combination of approaches—may be more helpful.

  2. How do you decide which medication is right for me? There isn't a single medication that works best for everyone. Recommendations take into account your symptoms, history, previous medication experiences, other health conditions, current medications, preferences, and treatment goals. We'll discuss potential benefits, risks, side effects, and alternatives before making a decision. Medication management may include starting new medications, or tapering off and simplifying a medication regimen!

  3. Can medication management be combined with therapy? Absolutely. Medication and psychotherapy can complement each other, and many people benefit from both. Dr. Norseth is able to provide therapy services using evidence-based intervention, and can also work closely in collaboration with your therapist, primary care clinician, or other healthcare providers.
