Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule an appointment?

Please click the "book now" box in the upper right hand corner to request an appointment. Our online scheduling system has our most updated availability.

Do you take insurance?

We are out-of-network providers for most insurance companies. That means you pay the cost of session at the time of service. We will, however, provide you an invoice which you can use to seek reimbursement from your insurance.

Drs. Masuda and Kutz are in-network providers for Aetna (Utah) and most University of Utah Health Plans. Please contact your insurance to confirm benefits.

What if I can't wait and need help after hours (24/7 support)?

If you are feeling emotionally overwhelmed or are having thoughts of harming yourself, please contact the Crisis Call Center at 988. Or, text HOME to 741741 to contact the Crisis Text Line.

You can also call 911 or go to any emergency department to ask for immediate help with a mental or emotional crisis.

We do not provide crisis services. We support you in seeking the level of care appropriate for your current needs and may provide referrals to our community neighbors better able to meet such needs, as indicated.

Do you offer virtual and in-person sessions?

Yes! We pride ourselves on offering both virtual and in-person services, knowing that one may better fit your needs.

Drs. Masuda and Owen are PsyPact certified and able to provide virtual services to 30+ states, which enables you to engage in treatment with your established provider, even if you're traveling or relocate.

How do you ensure confidentiality?

The services we provide are covered under the same protections as all your medical care (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or HIPAA). Except under rare circumstances, such as to protect the safety of yourself and others, all information about you, including your participation in treatment, remains between you and us. Please note that when communicating via email, confidentiality cannot be ensured.
