Dr. Kutz offers cognitive and psychological evaluations to aid in clarifying diagnoses. There is significant overlap between psychological symptoms and cognitive complaints and assessment can aid in finding the best treatment for your particular concerns. Common referral questions addressed are those related to clarifying diagnoses involving cognitive complaints or difficulties such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Assessments to clarify diagnoses will often involve a mixture of a clinical interview, personality inventories, cognitive assessments and achievement testing (if relevant). 

 

Fees: $200 per hour of service (typically between $1800-$2200 to accommodate for testing, report writing and feedback)

Pre-surgical Bariatric Evaluations

 

Many weight loss surgeons require a presurgical psychological evaluation as a way to ensure that candidates are best set up to succeed in their post-surgical recovery from bariatric surgery. Presurgical psychological evaluations involve assessing surgical candidates' understanding of the surgical and recovery process as well as an assessment of current psychological functioning. Dr. Kutz has expertise in conducting these evaluations and providing recommendations to surgical candidates. Testing involves a standardized clinical interview, a personality inventory and cognitive assessments. 

 

Fees: $200 per hour of service (typically between $1,000 and $1,600)
