Meet Dr. Amber Martinson
I believe that you’re the expert on you—and with collaborative help from someone trained in evidence-based practices—improvement and healing are possible. I emphasize the use of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based treatments for your mental health concerns. Together, we will work to identify the relationships between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to reduce unwanted symptoms and improve your quality of life and function (using science-backed techniques). You and I will work side-by-side to help you live a meaningful, satisfactory life in the presence of whatever symptoms are left over. Therapy can be hard. I promise to meet you where you’re at and tailor treatment to meet your individual needs.

I specialize in working with adults who want relief from: 1) life stress [from work, transitions, relationships], 2) anxiety [including high-functioning anxiety, and overanalyzing], 3) depression or low motivation, 4) chronic pain/headaches, 5) coping with chronic illnesses or end-of-life issues [cancer, ALS, etc.], 6) caregiver fatigue, and 7) grief.

It’s a big step to reach out for help—taking the time for your emotional health is one of the most important things you can do! Please, don’t hesitate to contact me to set up a free consultation either by clicking "book now" below or emailing amber.martinson@slpsychservice.com
I’d love to talk with you about your goals and how therapy can help.
